In the caves of the mountains,
or by the ghats they sit
Looking in to themselves,
to achieve the transcendental feat
Sitting with the death
the kamandal on the side
With the bhasma on the forehead
seeking for the knowledge bright
The sages and fakirs of India
and their world of mystery
Looking for salvation
from the time lost in history
There are Giris and Sagars
Ananda Munis and Yogis
Rishis and Saints
follow the Gyana yoga and Bhakti trends
The guru they see
in each and everything
Gathering the knowledge
which each and everything brings
Some follow the advaita vedanta
Some whisper Buddha’s words
Although every path deals
With the freedom from cycle of birth
Thoughts of the Orient
Rose first in the Himalaya
Reached the whole earth
From Kashi Nalanda and Gaya
In this world of today
If you lost the way under the skies
Find the right yogi or lama
To give vision to our eyes..
The dawn was creeping in
Moon was still in the skies
Stars were twinkling
The dreams were still in my eyes
Daffodils and daisies
Were wearing tiara of dew drops
The farmer left his house
To see and nurture his crops
The world freed itself
From the clutches of Morpheus
In temples they were singing
For the one who is auspicious
The blood red ruby
Is peeping from the east
Its time for me to go away
Thought the gloomy mist
Sparrow and crow
Left their home
While the nocturnal owl
Came back to its home
Arrows of the sun
broke the world of dreams
They said don’t just see,
go and chase your dreams

But never think that same will happen on earth”

karam tere..
kyunki tere sath hai sirf
karam tere….
na likha hai kuch haath ki rekhaonpe
unse nai banega tera bhagya
agar chahiye dhan sampatti pratishtha
toh jaanle ek rahasya
wo hai
karam tere…
wo nirguna parmatma nai milega
kisi bhog ya chadhave se
mat soch kuch punya karnese paile
kyunki ye duniya hai hi
paropkar ki buneeyad pe khadi
issiliye sabse mahatvapurna hai
karam tere…
Look at the sky at night, every person is awe struck on looking its empyrean splendor. That’s the beauty of human eyes. The eyes that can see the wonders of the world, because we are the creatures of creation. Only humans can be Atheist ,theist or agnostic, because we think. The travellers in this thought process.
Few days back Vaibhav Tulsyan (my roommate) was telling me about the Binary search tree. This tree has a root and its branches are spread downwards and in each leaf information is stored. Suddenly I remembered the first shlok from the 15th chapter of Bhagwat Gita. It also talks about a tree similar to binary tree.
Humans love connections and the world is full of connections, that’s why we love the world. The orient and occident seems opposite but they are connected.
We can see this in various old religions of the world. They appeared in different continents. But still there is common connection, i.e. Nature. We observed and we tried to connect stuff.
For example, there is a belief that this world runs on two factors. Matter-Energy, yin-yang, or Purusha-Prakruti, living-non living,male- female. Infact our ancestors tried to personify the world entities as male and female. The ever shining and hot Sun was a male; while the calm Earth is female. The most ancient deities, both are nourishing the world. Even they were not spared from connections. They were linked to the male and female’s observed characteristics. As the Sun is ordered in a pattern, powerful yet predictable. While the calm earth, so near but yet unaware of her power. The locked energy in her core.
In India the word for energy is Shakti. It is a feminine word. People are unaware of the its capacity, hence they try to control it. They try to bind it. They try to bind the thing which is meant to flow. Which is cause of change. More change means more creativity. This is where development stopped. When women were suppressed at that moment society or the system’s development cycle stops. The balance between matter-energy, yinyang, purushaprakruti is affected. We are still trying to balance the relationship between them from many centuries. Ultimately a time will come when energy will be free from its bonds and a new process of creation will start.
So there will be more connections more understanding. Just like, more the stars are visible in the night sky, more we can connect them to find new things. As everything is linked we are back to our night sky. Ultimately there is no first thought and last thought, its just a cyclic thinking process.

Uthi Uthi gopala is a famous bhoopali(morning bhajan in Marathi), I don’t remember when I first heard the track. I didn’t know who was the singer, but his voice and that bhajan used to ring in my head the whole day.
In 2010, I heard a natyageet “Runanubandhachya jithun padlya gathi”. That was the start of life long journey with KUMAR GANDHARVA. I started searching and collecting his music. Khyaal, tappa, tarana, bhajan, natyageets. I have no knowledge about classical music. Thankfully one doesn’t need knowledge to enjoy something. As Shankaracharya has said “Happiness exists at two states
1. No knowledge
2. Full knowledge”. 😉 😛
The artist whose creation always had a deep impact on me. His singing is like a chain of waves striking on the shore, every time creating a new pattern. In a way proving the old Indian thought of mithya or nothing is permanent yet everlasting. Each time when we listen to same creation again and again, we come across a new beauty unseen or unheard.I always love him singing Gaud Sarang, Bhimpalasi, Malkauns, Desh, Bahar, Malavati, Chaiti Bhoop.
Another of his wonder is Nirguni bhajans,
Kabir + Kumar= Pure Bliss
Singing the luring and mystic words of Kabir, there by taking the listener into the Bhaav Samadhi or in the sea of tranquility.
Kumar Gandharva’s music is like a dry leaf moving with the light breeze, dancing in its own way. Unexpected yet expected. Traditional yet new. Bounded yet free.
MAI THA JISKE PICHE PICHE
AB MAI USKE AAGE AAGE
DEKHA JAB MAI AAGE PICHE
DEKHA SAB KUCH AAGE AAGE…..

It is Gudi Padwa.. beginning of new year, which will be celebrated and welcomed across India in the coming week.
I am sitting by the window in reading hall. The hall is crowded as usual. Known unknown people around me. They are always around us. But what exactly knowing a person means? Knowing a person means knowing his nature? Or knowing his likes and dislikes? Or its much more than that?
I met different people here. Interaction with them always teaches new things, a new experience every time. Everyone here lives in his or her own world, looks at everything from their point of view. Sometimes even I try to do that, unki nazariye se duniya ko dekhne ki koshish karta hu!!! Its interesting sometimes and some time I feel it is vain.
I am always surrounded by people. I am aloof from all of them, yet I am always with them!! But the feeling of loneliness is always there. May be this might be the reason for my love to always be in the crowd. This confusion never ends. Still trying to figure out , what I love to do? Wearing a fake mask to hide my undiscovered true face when I am with others. But what I fear is, if this mask sticks to my identity before discovering it. Forever living with that!! Its an unending series of questions. Here I am unknown to myself, then how can I know others? But still people say I am good at understanding and knowing all!!
And yet I don’t understand why they think like this?
